    Our Story

A family’s photo collection represents lifetimes of memories and family history - the old black and white photos from generations before, the recorded history of the family’s evolution, the wedding photos, the baby’s first steps, the kids growing up and more. Photos not only document the generations and a family’s history, but they evoke emotion.

For many, a family’s photos are their most valued possession. If lost or destroyed, photos are something that are truly irreplaceable. The founder of PhotoBin almost learned this the hard way. In 2007, his home was threatened and his family was evacuated during the San Diego wildfires that destroyed over 2,000 homes in the area. It was during that time that Steve Weber was inspired to create a company that would help people share, enjoy and preserve their memories, and PhotoBin was started in the spring of 2008.

PhotoBin is a full-service digital conversion company that offers services which allow customers to bring their printed photos, slides, negatives, videos and home movies to the current digital format and enable them have all of their photos and videos together in one place.

PhotoBin helps people to easily and economically combine of their photos and videos (regardless of format or platform) into one place that provides organization, accessibility, and the peace of mind of secure backup.
